For every one of my friends who’s parent leaned too heavily on them as kids to be the adult and support the parent… This is for you…

This morning I awoke to hear Kelly Clarkson’s song “Because of You” in my head…
When these things pop in I have learnt to take special note, as these are generally a vehicle by which awareness and messages are flowing through to me…
This one tapped into an especially deep place of grief and healing for me…
And also a space that I am now able to acknowledge just how far I’ve come from that.
So it is with a light and gratitude filled heart I share my download with you now…

Please know I totally get how hard it is
Please know I am grateful for the skills
Please know that softening and letting others care for you
is exactly what your heart requires to heal,
to slow down from that space of fight, flight and freeze…

Please know that gently asking for help is exactly what’s required
to open the door to the right ones who are willing to build you up not tear you down..

Please know that you are aware of who’s good for you and who is not…
Your body tells you, it’s just that the “wires” got crossed when you were young…
But being willing to see the beauty that is truly you,
loving you for you, being the space of gratitude for you,
and all that’s around you, starts to rewire those connections…

I feel you hunny, I know this is scary, and I know you aren’t sure if you can trust anyone…

So let’s start with you…
Loving you…
Loving your strong, resilient, adorable, adaptable, body…
Being grateful for just one day at a time…
These pathways are deep…
